Do not get discouraged when you fail to achieve ypur objectives - try again but try differently. One will prevail if they are innovative and enterprising. A similar english saying would be necessity is the mother of invention.

The proverb is based on the manner in which the crow survives by jumping from one place to the next as it consumes and similarly averts danger. It is particlarly observant of how this helps the crow escapes the danger from a hunter with a bow and arrow. The crow never stays in one place and never stays still for other predators to advance on it. Hence the proverb was developed by our ancestors to support the notion of constant hustling and need for innovation to meet various changes. It does not help to remain in one state or continue doing the same thing when it is clearly not meeting the desired results. Hence one must try different methods when one fails, constantly change strategies and innovate in order to succeed. In essence in contemporary terms, this proverb is the hustler's creed!

The proverb is used to encourage innovation and endeavour in approaching any venture or project. When one thing is not working out one must try other methods or means to ensure they can find a breakthrough. This must not be confused with other advice related to perseverance since this relates more to change of strategy rather than focus.
